There are several factors to consider when choosing the proper treatment to cover or refresh them if you’ve had previous PMU (permanent makeup) work done on your eyebrows, like eyebrow tattooing.

Many clients I’ve been treating for years are choosing to refresh their look with microblading. 

When wanting to transition into your new look the “fade” and depth of the previously tattooed pigment is taken into consideration. You can usually have the brows you want in one or two sessions. Compared to microblading, permanent makeup deposits color into the deeper layers of the dermis.

When artistically applied Microblading can be used to bring about a more youthful look, correct poorly applied permanent eyebrows and is preferable to avoid having a “stamped on” look where the hairlike strokes will not be visible enough to make a difference.

In this case, you might want to consider lightening or, in some cases, removal first before getting another semi-permanent eyebrow enhancement.
